A boot camp is a great learning experience, but it’s not right for every purpose. While it’s most effective for teaching small groups of developers specific principles and toolchains, it’s not as effective as other training methods, such as traditional classes or online classes, for training large numbers of developers in the basics of a tool or technique.

Note: The high teacher-student ratio needed for an effective boot camp is expensive and cumbersome to set up for large groups. For mass training, videos or traditional lecture-style classes might be more effective.
